A New Understanding of One's Own Worth

51vz8pkgagl_ss500_I usually do not post on any book until I finish reading it.  However, something I read today really moved me in significant way regarding why Jesus Christ died on the cross for me.  It is from the book The Faith by Chuck Colson. 

p. 89: "Repentance and acceptance of Christ's saving work bring with them a new understanding of one's own worth that at first may seem paradoxical.  However gravely I have sinned, Christ still thought I was worthy of His sacrifice.  That's grace, indeed; that's love!" (underline emphasis, mine)

A Renewed Discipline Today I felt prodded to renew what was once a very beneficial discipline. This discipline included keeping a dictionary with me as I read a book -- so when an unknown word to me came up in my reading, I would not only look it up, but write the definition in the margin of the page where I read the word. So today I started this practice again here is the word: "untenable," defined as --not able to be held, as of an opinion or position, unholdable, indefensible." This definition was from the website: Allwords.com.
